Vanity pages are interesting aren’t they?  They can be places of public confession (e.g. I once opened a beer bottle with my teeth), an online resume (my first parish was a three point charge in rural Alberta), or an online personal manifesto.  I imagine there are as many different focae as there are people.  On this page I am putting up stuff in no particular order.  One day I may organize it, but not anytime soon.

One of the truly great things about being the senior pastor of St. James is being able to play with interesting technology as part of ministry.  Currently I’m the webmaster.  I think our current webiste is pretty good, but would really love to hand this responsibility off to someone with better skills.  I know just enough about HTML to be mildly dangerous.  As an amatuer webmaster I am inefficient and end up spending too much time generating too little product.

I  ride a bike.  I currently ride 60 – 70 miles a week  including  a bit over 5,000 feet of climbing.  It is working.  Since I started riding more regularly I’ve lost 25 pounds.  I still haven’t reached my goal.  I’d like to lose another 10 – 20 pounds.  I ride with a couple of friends, and anyone who wants to join us.  We ride on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.  We start at 7:00 am, and typically stop at Peete’s Coffee (Blossom Hill & Los Gatos Blvd) at about 8:20.  It is a vigorous ride with some rollers and some steep climbs.  Slow riders are welcome.  We sometimes divide into two groups if someone needs to go slow or wants to skip one of the climbs.  Call me if you’d like to come out one day.
